This is not a necklace you'll find in a jewelry store. This is a single drop of solid gold, cast by hand, worn against the skin on premium kangaroo leather.
The gold drop at the center of this piece is cast and polished entirely by hand from solid 18K gold — not plated, not filled, not approximated. The shape is a pure teardrop, organic and weighty, catching light the way only solid gold can. A pearl slides freely along the leather cord, adjusting to the exact length you want — long sautoir, short statement, or anywhere between.
Four genuine Tahitian cultured pearls complete the piece. One slides along the cord to lock your preferred length in place. Three fall gracefully to the back — or to the side of the chest — depending on how you tie the knot. Dark, lustrous, semi-baroque. The kind of Tahitian pearl that takes years to form in the protected lagoons of French Polynesia.
The cord is premium kangaroo leather — the most supple, resistant leather in the collection. It wears soft against the skin and develops a rich patina over time.
